Feng Shui

Feng Shui, literally meaning wind and water, is an ancient Chinese system about the relationship between humans and their environment. The underlying principle for this healing art is Chi or qi, which means energy. There are two types of feng shui that must be considered when using this form of healing therapy. One deals with the physical such as buildings, rooms, roads, bridges and the like. The second form is more abstract and involves directional influences, i.e. whether an object should face north or south, east or west. Both of these qualities must be addressed to properly apply engage the healing attributes of feng shui.

The two oldest schools of feng shui are the Form school, which takes a more visual approach, and the Compass school, which is based on the eight directions of the compass. Over the years, many new schools and uses of the principles of feng shui have developed and flourished, but to get the best results, contact a professional who has been properly trained in the many relationships between the physical and spiritual sides of energy chi for best results. There are also many fine books available on feng shui and products that can help make your home, office or personal space more energy balanced thus promoting happier, healthier lives.
